2 tablespoons soft butter
2 tespoons prepared mustard
6 slices bread (1/2 - inch thickness , trimed
1 egg, beaten
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 cup milk
butter ( for cooking )
3 thick slices edam or gaouda cheese
preparation
blend soft butter and mustard, spread on one of each bread slice, cover spread side of 3 slices with cheese top with remaining bread, spread side down, dip in mixture of egg, salt and pepper, and milk brown on both sides in butter
